You know, I’m glad this world contains people who can find joy in very different things. For example, some people find the big cities of the world to be thrilling and small towns to be what my pastor called “the thing we fear most.” Others find cities intimidating and small towns comfortable. Some find gas fireplaces charming, clean, and cozy. Others find them depressing reminders of the limitations of modern urban life. In any case, it takes little searching to find some striking differences of opinion in life’s inconsequential matters. I’m actually glad people can find joy in such different aspects of life.
By the way, can you guess which group I fall in on each of the above issues? It shouldn’t be too hard, I would think…
