  • Columbia

I was accepted at Columbia Law School, today. That’s pretty exciting, but after the Chicago “Wine Mess,” at King & Spalding, last night, I’m pretty sold on Chicago. Still waiting on several more decisions (and financial aid!), but that’s where things stand, right now.

  • In at Chicago!

Woo-HOO! I just got accepted to the University of Chicago Law School! I’m very happy about this one. In related news, I got rejected by Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, specifically by the Sociology Ph.D. program. This makes me 0-4-1 at Harvard (1 undergrad waitlist, 3 graduate rejections, and a pending law school…

  • Rejected!

I got rejected by Vanderbilt’s sociology department, today. It came by e-mail – ouch. I’m not really surprised, though – these departments have around 4% acceptance rates, since the applicant/faculty ratio is sky-high. Oh, well.

  • JSP is evil.

Java Server Pages are evil, particularly when used for simple websites. I say this because a client has a 7-page site, that was developed in JSP. Why? JSP is the only language the developer knew. Of course, said developer knows nothing about installing/deploying/running JSP webapps. Geez.

  • Penn Acceptance

I got accepted by the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, today – woohoo! I’m looking forward to their admitted students’ packet – it’s supposed to be very cool. They even warn you about it ahead of time – it’s 17″ x 16″ and weighs three pounds. Should be interesting!
